I see a pond
  (So big So deep)
A river A lake
   (As far as the eye can see)
I sit on my stone
    (So small So known)
With but one chance to take

One chance to step out
One chance to leave my comfort zone
One chance to explore the world
One chance to leave everything I've ever known

So many steps to take
So many friends to make
I'm starting to feel overwhelmed
So many waves to ride
So many hills to glide
And yet so many roads full of problems

I peer into this deep pond this river this lake
And all I can think of is the chance I will take
And despite all the good that I might find
All I can see is what I'll leave behind

I can almost touch all of that good it's so near
But all I can do is sit on my stone and peer
